We’re excited to announce our musical events for this year’s Paganicon. All musical events will take place in the Summer Room.

Friday:

Murphey’s Midnight Rounders, a local Pagan favorite, will offer music beginning at 9pm.

Murphey’s Midnight Rounders play acoustic/power folk with elements of Rock, Celtic and Country. Their songs uncover novel rhythms and moving orchestrations while concentrating on elaborate harmonies. The effect evokes feelings that are truly otherworldly.

Brad Murphey’s original songs range from soulful fragments of lost dreams to political satire and dark humor. “Call That Never Comes” showcases Brad as an original songwriter and captures raw human emotion and empathy with lyrics that tug at the heartstrings. Teresa Frank creates a beautiful atmosphere with haunting vocals. Bonnie Hanna-Powers come to the Rounders with an extensive background in music, theater and fire-spinning. She rounds out our vocals with a flair for the dramatic.

Saturday:

Join us for a dessert buffet at 8pm (included in your membership: it’ll be in the Lower Atrium) before a great evening of music in the Summer Room.

Local reality TV star Kari Tauring and Drew Miller (of Boiled in Lead fame) will offer an opening set. They’ve been popular and great performers at past Pagan Pride events, and we’re looking forward to seeing what they have for us this time!

Then, Renaissance Festival favorites Bedlam will take the stage.

Join us for an evening of great music and much fun.

Open music:

We’ll also have opportunities for open music circles throughout the weekend. These are on the schedule as ‘open music’ – feel free to stop by, join in, and share a song or two. (Or just listen, if you’d rather.)
