Paganicon is a brand new spring weekend event just outside Minneapolis, Minnesota. Based on the weekend conference model used by other Pagan events around the country (and similar events, like fan-run science fiction/fantasy conventions), we invite you to join us for a weekend of workshops, panels, music, and more with others from the Pagan community.

Our theme for this year is renewal: the hope of spring, the potential in a new season, and a chance for us to relax and renew our spiritual lives as we move from the introspection of winter to the sometimes frantic activity of summer.

Please check out the links above (and the notes below) for answers to the most common questions. The FAQ page has some more information about some of our decisions, and you can use the contact links in the left sidebar to reach us with any other questions.

When:
Friday, March 25th through Sunday, March 27th, 2011
(Events will run from around 6:00pm on Friday night until around 4pm on Sunday afternoon)

Our schedule is available online.

Where:
Doubletree Park Place in St. Louis Park, MN (just west of Minneapolis on highway 394). The hotel has ample free parking, lots of local food options, and is easily accessible by bus.

Find out more about our great location on our hotel page. The hotel has excellent accessibility and is completely non-smoking.

We welcome those who want to stay at the hotel (rates start at $87 a night), but you don’t have to.

What does registration include?

  • All event programming (workshops, panels, music events)
  • Two food functions – a dessert buffet on Saturday night, a community afternoon tea on Sunday.
  • Access to our vendor room and any other exhibits, information tables, etc.
  • Our hospitality suite with snacks and cold (non-alcoholic) drinks and comfy chairs.
  • Anything else we come up with between now and then!

Cost:
Registration is $60 up until March 4th, 2011 (as we need to give food numbers to the hotel in advance). We had a small number of last-minute registrations available after that: the cost was $75. (Early registration was $45 until our fall 2010 Pagan Pride event.)

We are capping registration at 250 members this year. You can read more about our reasons on our FAQ page.

Help make things great!
The simplest way to help make things great is to register early if you want to come. That helps us expand what we can offer. And tell your friends!

We also welcome ideas and volunteers. We had some great discussions at this fall’s Pagan Pride event, but we can always use more suggestions and thoughts from the community. (Please bear in mind that in our first year, we’re being conservative with our budget and with plans that involve lots of volunteers.)
